Consistent performer and regular feature of the Southampton Under 18s side having appeared as number one for two seasons at that level.
Dovey is a Southampton lad through and through who has signed for the club that he has always supported. Hailing from nearby Totton, he joined the Saints set-up in 2003 after being scouted at schoolboy level.
After impressing in the Under-21s squad at Saints, Jack made his first appearance in the senior squad when he appeared on the bench for the first team in a Carling Cup Last 16 clash against Crystal Palace in October 2011.
Jack joined Eastleigh on a month's loan from Southampton at the end of October 2011 and made his debut in a 3-1 victory at Thurrock, where the young goalkeeper saved a penalty.
Since arriving on loan at the Silverlake Stadium, Jack has featured regularly for the first team displacing Gareth Barfoot between the sticks. Dovey kept his first clean sheet for Eastleigh in a 2-0 victory over Boreham Wood in December 2011.
The Spitfires' form improved dramatically since Jack's arrival in October, as in the space of two months the club has risen from the relegation zone to 10th place.
Dovey's loan has been extended to the end of the season after an agreement was reached with Southampton, though the Saints have the right to recall anytime.
