Eastleigh Football Scholarship Scheme

Boys aged 16-19 who are keen & talented footballers who wish to pursue a career involving football, can join the football academy. This offers the opportunity to study for vocational qualifications at Eastleigh College and development of football skills & techniques at Eastleigh Football Club. A normal week will consist of practical and theory lessons at the college and training sessions at the football club. The academy players have the opportunity to participate in the FA Youth Cup, Football Conference Youth Alliance, Hampshire Colleges League and other competitions.

Participants can continue on the Football Scholarship Scheme for up to three years, studying for a range of qualifications on offer including NVQs and BTEC Diplomas at levels 1, 2 and 3. Options include the Sport, Recreation and Leisure Assistants course, and First Diploma or National Diploma courses in Sport. In addition the Football Scholars will receive football coaching in a professional environment and will have the opportunity to take further industry short courses such as FA Coaching Badges, Match Official Course, Sports First Aid, CYQ - fitness instructor & NPLQ - lifeguarding.
